anything, was happening. Nothing was happening, and the owner had his
bulldozer and loader blocking the big storage area to keep out vandals
and thieves and their vehicles out. Good idea.

Anyway, I walked along the gravel roadway down to the ramps and back,
and noticed the ice in the channel was thick enough to support some
ducks using it as a platform for whatever ducks do this time of year.

I'm heading out after the first springer of the year this
weekend. They may not be in yet but I'm not waiting any
longer dammit.

I am sorely tempted to take the cover off my Ranger and just take it
for a freakin' ride around Fisher's Island Sound. :)

However if I do that, it will freakin' snow.

I hate snow.

Kinda dangerous heading out in the winter in that low-sided,
low-freeboard boat. If you get splashed, you'll get hypothermia, and if
you take a greenie over the bow, you'll sink.
