I had a Sharp autopilot when I bought my boat 16 years ago. It worked,
then didn't work - fixed it, then quit again, and fixed it (more $$)
then it developed an imtermittant ability to make a sharp right hand
90 degree turn for no reason in calm water while motoring - and I
junked it. It was 12 years old when I replaced it - so your's is
probably history. BTW, even when it worked it didn't have enough power
to really control/steer the boat on rough water. Also - Sharp was out
of business already before 1985.
