Heres one of my favorite research sited on Ruskie electrics.
No vid, but an interesting study....

Made in Bulgary
Where the hell is Bulgary? :)
None of the Nuevo Flamenco guitarists I listen to play weirdo guitars.
And they can really play.
Nobody of any real importance plays weirdo guitars. "Importance" is
defined
as "Will anyone remember them in a few years?"
You mean like Bo Diddley?
Or maybe you meant The Ventures...- Hide quoted text -

Or Steven Stills
Or Neil Young
Or John Petrucci
In short, their pick of guitars has nothing to do with their ability
or lack of.

I'm referring more to people whose ONLY claim to "fame" is a strange
instrument.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEUqX...eature=related
Even Stanley Clarke doesn't lean very heavily on the piccolo bass, although
he pretty much invented it.- Hide quoted text -

Have you ever heard of Junior Brown? He's a Julliard trained musician
who found he had a great voice for old style country music, and is one
hell of a guitar player. He wanted to play both lead and steel, so he
invented his own:

That guy is a rocket!
I'm amazed that on a couple songs he will take the low E string and
tune it down to B, back and forth to C,D etc, and play a hard hitting
melody on just that one string...- Hide quoted text -

I saw him by accident at a club, he rocked the joint!
