and supports MPEG-2, MPEG-4, and VC-1.


Yeah - I know.

It's the principle of the thing. :)

QT codecs - the problem is that they are buggy on non-Apple or
non-Apple approved applications. And MS doesn't like to play with QT
for whatever reason.

One standard, upgradable format - it that too much to ask for? :)
