What are you using to manage your backups? We are setting up a Linux
box right now for a friend, will probably use rsync with a cron to
back up our linux stuff, and one of our frineds windows based hosting
servers...
You can use rsync to back up Windows. *You just need to use Cygwin..
http://www.gaztronics.net/rsync.php
Yes, I certainly want to do this:
use chroot = false
strict modes = false
[modulename]
* * *path = /cygdrive/c/cygwin/var/rsync_dump comment = Rsync storage
* * *area
* * *read only = false
Instead of "Backup HK PC"
I don't think we are talking about the same thing. *rsync will mirror
multiple clients to a server. *Set it up once, run it as a cron job, and
forget about it. *
Gee, that's pretty much like any other backup software.
Windows Home Server, btw, is a very interesting product.- Hide quoted text -
