While MS may be taking it on the chin with a bad bet, it's the
consumer who likes to mess around with video that's going to take it
right up the old wazoo.
Forcing one to use Apple's codec software over MS's codec software is
the same coin - just different sides.
And frankly, working with QT sucks. You never know from one video
clip processing to the next if it will play without futzing with this
or that to make it work.
