What a joke why does the government seem to hate single people.
Because you are single.

Duh... :)
Explain the marriage penalty Mr. Overlord sir.
I don't do details - I only set policy.

And my policy is to tax everybody within a inch of being bankrupt.

Keeps the masses in their place. :)
What ticks me off is that they are giving people with children extra
money for each kid! People with kids are already using more resources
than people without, they tax them at a lower rate (dependents), and
now they are giving them extra money for making a CHOICE! If you
can't afford kids, don't have them. And don't make me subsidize
stupid, poor people that do anyway.

snerk There's scum, and then there is conservatrash scum.

It's not political. It's called personal responsibility. Look into
it.

One of the many attributes that distinguishes us is that I care about
people who are having a hard time making it in this world, and you
don't. I believe the words on the Statue of Liberty, and you don't. I
believe I am my brother's keeper, and you don't.

When I was a very small child, my mother read this poem to me:

Abou ben Adam

Abou ben Adam (may his tribe increase!)

awoke one night from a deep dream of peace,

And saw, within the moonlight of his room,

Making it rich, and like a lily in bloom,

an angel, writing in a book of of gold.

Exceeding peace had made Ben Adam bold,

And to the Prescence in the room he said:

"What writest thou?" The vision raised its head,

And, with a look made of all sweet accord,

Answered, "The names of those who love the Lord."

"And is mine one?"said Abou, "Nay, not so,"

Replied the angel. Abou spoke more low,

But cheerily still, and said, "I pray thee, then,

Write me as one who loves his fellow men."

The angel wrote, and vanished. The next night

It came again, with a great awakening light,

And showed the names whom love of God had blest,

And lo! Ben adam's name led all the rest.

I took that poem to heart. I care about my fellow man, and I do what I
can to help those who need help.

You care only about yourself.

You are the dictionary definition of conservatrash.

Here is an example from yesterday. I was downtown DC and happened to see
a Home Depot. I stopped in because I needed some hardware bits and
pieces for a project. It was very cold outside. The parking lot was full
of men looking for work, a shape up, as it were. Most of them were
Latinos. These guys, mostly illegals, I am sure, will do about honest in
the way of work to make enough to feed themselves and their families.
It's been cold for quite a while, and you could tell most of these guys
had not worked for a while. I had some cash on me and after talking to a
few of the guys, I simply handed what cash I had to four guys who said
they had had no work in two weeks.

I'm sure you would have walked right by them and muttered something
derogatory.

I think my name will be on the list.

But you...they'll bury you face down...because that is the way you are
going.

Did you offer them a ride on the lobsta' boat?

What horse****, Harry.
