The December 07 issue of the UK's Practical Boat Owner has detailed
information by the Editor on copper treatment on her own boat that has
lasted 14 years.(pages 6 & 7)

Doesn't seem to be "annealed" or the like but it's stayed on for 14 years so
it's sure stuck to something.
