Which ones? Lots of different "stripers."
There's a "striper" here in the lakes of Illinois that some call white
bass. Caught a lot of them, but they don't bet much bigger than a
nice crappie.
Then I've heard of hybrids in the impoundments out west that are
supposed to be good fighters, and get pretty big.
Ocean stripers too. I'm confused now.

That's them. The biggest I've caught was 48", caught while trolling. When
they are this big, I don't think they're great eating. I much prefer the
smaller 20-30" guys.

My advice is to take anything Harry says about fishing in the bay with a
big dose of salt. Remember who you're dealing with.
