When one of my fillings from childhood deteriorates, my dentist says "You
want novocaine while I fix this? It'll only hurt for about 8 seconds and
I'll tell you when." We don't use novocaine. The filling gets fixed. It
hurts for 8 seconds.
GWB didn't do things like this. He had no idea how long it would hurt. Not a
****ing clue.
