Sorry, Bilious, but the Democrats do not control Congress. They have
simple majorities. When you control Congress, you have supermajorities,
enough votes in your own party to control legislation and to overturn
presidential vetoes.

Not to worry. Next January, the Democrats will control the White House and
increase their simple majorities in Congress.

Unless your write-in campaign for Zell Miller or some other lunatic
succeeds.

What economic policies there are in place now are those of the Bush
Administration.
