Yep, had to kill the task. Then it wouldn't start because of

Artifacts all over the place. Didn't like it anyway.
I'm a gamer, and modern, demanding games work slick as ice without
tinkering. I'm not going looking for drivers/incompatabilities to get
a program I don't care about to work correctly. BTDT.

While it's possible to get two items of software in 48 hours, both of which
cause problems, it seems a bit odd. I wonder if your computer's got
problems. If you liked the 3M program and the weird screen behavior was the
ONLY reason you got rid of it, you might want to check to see if you have
the latest video drivers for your machine.
