I have never had the need to open a can of food while in the car or
away from home. I open my cans with an electric can opener. John may
want to look into these new contraptions so he does not have to carry
his old P-38 with him.

You really don't understand JimH.

Which is understandable.

Eisboch

Whatever.

BTW: I did not serve in the military.......but if I did I would not carry
a reminder of it some 40 years later of service in a very unpopular war,
regardless of my opinion of the war.

One sometimes needs to let it go and move on.

Eisboch is right. You don't understand. You can't be faulted for not having
had the experiences since the draft was probably disbanded by the time you
became eligible. Nothing you or Kanter say can diminish the pride and
memories, good or bad, that servicemen and women have. Just remember who
paid for *Your* freedom, and try to be just a we bit appreciative .
