The other style appears to be the old transformer type. This is the same as

] If you check the weight,
you'll see these weigh almost twice as much as the comparable 'Speed
Chargers', which would indicate the presence of, as you suggested Rich, a
transformer.
Finding the right page on the Schumacher site helps!
Thanks again for your input. I'd have probably bought another transformer
type without it.
When you get it, maybe you could lend it to Larry so that he can FULLY charge
his battery banks for the first time. :'O
