Don't know all the details. I recall Lou Dobbs saying the gov has had
a zillion programs for decades, including farm labor, but I don't
trust him 100%.
What I do remember is that back in the '60's and '70's INS was raiding
factories in Chicago when they got wind of illegals working there.
Mexicans and Poles mostly, from what I remember.
It's gonna cost to do that, because you need the enforcement guys.
That's another problem, nobody wants to pay. Deadbeats.
In the insurance industry one investigator making 60k can save
hundreds of k's in bogus claims.
Same with the IRS.
It's a simple problem to solve on the enforcement end. The human end
gets real tricky with divided families and all.
