Last night I loaded my new Topo Canada map software on my computer from
the CDs and then transfered to my Garmin GPSMAP 60CX.
The GPS indicates the Topo mapping is there but I can only get the base
map to show on the screen. D'oh!
I'll try Garmin on-line for help because I won't bother going to the
Binnacle until Friday. Our stores are closed Wednesday and the big Boxing
Day sales take place Thursday the 27th.
Hoo ra! Remembered that you have to draw a box around the area you want to
transfer. Just did it and all looks well. Trouble is, they only give you a
small memory card with the 60 model, so I can only load the Maritime
Provinces topographical maps in addition to the Blue marine charts I
installed in November.
Looks like I'll be buying a 1 gig card in the near future.
