From 1947 to 1955, my old man was actively involved in building and
racing his own outboard powered hydroplanes and "utility" outboard
racers. These were for outboards ranging from hopped up Mercs to monster
Evinrude 50 hp engines. Very small boats, very highly stressed. I
suspect he understood the "engineering and structural necessities of
wood boats."
All I recall from your webpages are rowboats.
