You also seem to have no problems with Vista, while (a great) many others
do. I guess it must be user error?

Actually, there is. It's well documented. Many, including myself, have
reverted back to 1.2 after using 1.3.

I don't do a lot of "post-processing" with the photos I take, as I like
them to look like what I was looking at when I took the photo. Perhaps
if I were into surreal photography and used a lot of heavy duty features
in NX, I might run into problems, but I don't, and I haven't. So sorry.
Heck, I have Photoshop CS3 and another high-end post-processor, too, and
I don't use their features much, either. My feeling is that if it isn't
there in the viewfinder, I don't want to see it on the print or on the
screen. Others feel differently about that aspect of photography.

As for Vista, no, I haven't run into any really serious problems. My use
of it has not been "error free," and I've never made the claim it was.
But any significant problems I have had with the OS have been resolvable
without having to make any great effort.

Many of the problems users have with VISTA come from either installing
it over an existing OS, or running it with not enough memory. Also, I
don't run any "ancient" software. That helps, too.
