Now I gotta get out in the crap and go to work!
bah, humbug indeed!
Drove from Edwardsville to a bit north of Chicago today, leaving
at
2pm, arriving about 8pm, maybe an hour more than normal.
Got my Ma from my sister, who lives there.
It was snowing all the way, but the highway crews on 55 did a
good
job, and though it was a bit slow it was never really dicey.
Would have been a real pain without those crews out there.

Small world. My wife and her family is from Edwardsville. Most of
her
crew still lives there.
anyhow, it snowed more last night but looks really good today.

Eh, the more I think about it, the worse it looks, really.
down the driveway, I see ice covering rock with snow on top. when I
leave in a bit, maybe i can take out the neighbors mailbox.
No, now that won't happen. I'll be in the Merc wagon, and it doesn't
wreck.
good I'm safe!
STAY HOME!
Luckily, we got no snow or ice in the DC area, but we did get rain,
which
brought down a lot of leaves. Yeah, we're still messing with leaves!
I paid a guy $70 yesterday to get my leaves up, and this morning it
looks
like he never came by. Crap.
HOW MUCH??? How big is your land?
A third of an acre. But, there's a dozen good sized (12-30" diameter)
trees
dropping their damn leaves on it! It took two people, with blowers,
and
me
raking under bushes, a little over two hours.
Pansies. My son can do that much with a rake in an hour. Blowers are for
wimps.
Maybe a hay rake behind Eisboch's John Deere.
No. Regular leaf rake. I will admit that he does use a high tech tool
sometimes: Gloves.
Never happen.

OK. I'll tell my neighbors they were imagining things, and the money they
pay him is fake. :-)
