So, please list the wars we have had in the last century where we did
not rebuild and return the country?

Every war in our history except WWII and we won that one
unconditionally.

WWII actually was the last large-scale *war* this country won.
Korea was a draw.
Vietnam was a disaster and a defeat.
Everything else was either small scale or against countries that had no
real ability to fight back for more than a very short time.

... and in every war before WWII we either took the spoils
(particularly from all the spanish speaking enemies) or we simply got
on the boat and came home (WW1)

We left Vietnam with our tail between our legs and Korea was simply a
stalemate, basically ending up exactly where we started with the added
burden of maintaining a 55 year fence, at god only knows how much
money..

I don't really consider bombing Libya or bitch slapping Granada, wars
but we still didn't do much after they were over. We have been in Iraq
for almost 17 years but I don't think we have built much and we don't
seem willing to "return" it to them.- Hide quoted text -

The British returned the southern province of Iraq to Iraqui forces
and police just yesterday morning, I did not see them leaving with
truckloads of resources or oil. I still don't see an answer to my
question.

And you won't.
