That is the purist bull****. Tolulene is found in gasoline, it rates
at 100+ octane, and is no more toxic than average gasoline. Not very,
in other words. Carbon tet is extremely toxic and attacks the liver in
small doses. The quit selling that stuff in retail stores decades ago.
Which is why the stuff they sell now for removing marks from textiles and
clothing is utterly useless, and they should be prosecuted for selling it
under the fitness-for-purpose laws.
BTW, you weren't supposed to drink the stuff, you were supposed to remove
marks and stains with it.
Another f*****g Health and Safety scam that backfired!
