It is easy to understand why many Native Americans would consider the
white man holiday of "Thanksgiving" anathema, since the white man
invasion of the North American continent resulted in the wholesale
slaughter of Native Americans, and the death of their various cultures.

The Native Americans / First Nation people were always at war with each
other. Fighting over a berry patch or the plains areas. The Apaches
were in the Southwest desert because the Sioux had run them off the
fertile plains.

You're trying to rationalize the white man's slaughter of native Americans

They lost all the wars. The first explorers killed most of the natives via
disease, just as the natives have killed a lot of Europeans via Syphilis.
Not rationalizing anything. Just pointing out the natives were not a
peaceful society.
