Jim, take a little cruise of Maemo Mapper, a freeware Google Earth that's
connected to the WAAS/GPS bluetooth receiver for the Nokia N800 Linux
internet tablet. It put you within 3' of the Virtual Earth, Google Earth
or the great topographical maps of Terra Server....all free sources of
data for it. The maps download on-the-fly, or you can preload them into
the memory cards if you don't have a bluetooth data link to your
cellphone.
For that price, you can do the same with preloaded images and
updatable maps already on units from Garmin and TomTom.
Hey Tom.
Tom look on your TOMTOM at state road 429 which starts in Apopka Florida and
it ends at I4 near Clermont. My Garmin shows it ending where it crosses the
Turnpike. This is a recently completed road and I'm curious as to weather
TomTom shows the complete road.
I believe it does, but is there a name on that road that would help
me? I see 429 and it looks like it connects, but a road name would
help.
Thanks.
Happy T day.
