It was very instructive of the nature of Political Correctness.

I really don't think there is any correct way to fill out the essay. I
don't think they even know what they are looking for, except maybe
Panache.

I know my son's essay reeked of Panache, and took a direction I would
not call PC in any sense of the word. My daughters was the epitome of
what you would expect in an admissions essay. She did not get in her
top choice, but is very happy at U of Mich. Again, UGA is just as good
as Mich., but that was free and much closer to home.
