I hadn't appreciated how much Bluegrass was out there on Youtube.

I was a little disappointed though - I kept waiting for the Irish Lyre
player to start pickin'. :)


You have to search around, but there is some good amateur stuff also.


I can play a banjo, but I can't "play" a banjo if you get my point.
I'm grok guitar and mandolin - I just don't "grok" banjos. Could
never play a violin either although I desperatly wanted to lean how to
"fiddle".


Next is slide quitar this winter. I've owned one for years and
tinkered with it, but never really worked hard at it. Now that
playing a standard guitar is becoming more and more difficult, slide
maybe the way I can keep playing.


If you can play mandolin, you are halfway to playing the violin, which is
"basically" a fretless mandolin. Fingering is identical.
