Hmmm...the unspoken implication is that high octane implies high
energy content. It doesn't however. It's a common place that 90
octane can have higher energy content than 100 octane.
The high test stuff has better anti knock properties however, so
higher compression can provide better thermal efficiency using that
lower energy content fuel.
