Microsoft: 88 Million Copies of Vista Shipped
Despite underwhelming consumers and being snubbed by enterprises,

Despite underwhelming consumers and being snubbed by enterprises,
Windows Vista's numbers keep growing, with Microsoft Corp. saying
Thursday that it has now shipped *88 million copies* of the
operating
system, almost double the number of copies of XP in the same
amount of
time at its launch.
The 88 million figure mostly includes Vista-installed PCs bought
by
consumers and small businesses,
JimH purchased Vista thinking it was great and the first thing he
wanted
to do is figure out a way to tweak it so it wouldn't run so slow.
It
just goes to show you PT Barnum was correct.
Hey dummy, I did not purchase Vista. I purchased a laptop with
Vista
for
my son.
BTW: Why are you so concerned about what decisions other people
make?
What business is it of yours Jim Gallow, I mean Reggie? You are a
regular
busybody.
Jimh, if you don't want comments about the decisions you make, why do
you
continue to tell us all your decisions?
If you recall John, my question on Vista was to Harry. The dumb and
dumber
twins then got into the picture and the thread went downhill from
there.
What other "decisions" have I told you about and asked you to comment
on
John.
Gosh, maybe you didn't know that you could email Harry if you want
something to be just between the two of you.
This is what shows up in the header, but it may be a fake. Although, I
don't think Harry would do that because he frowns on it.
That's right. That email address works just fine. I don't check it
often, but it does work.
That will save a lot of confusion and acrimony. Jimh can just tell you his
decisions about everything without getting comments from any others in the
group.
Thanks.
Like your annual postings of your Mickey Mouse cruises? Then we have the
long discussions of your motorcycle, camera, boat purchase, etc. We also
need to include your posts here about your *contributions*, like the laptop
you said you purchased as a high school graduation gift for your nephews
friends daughter?
What is that saying about people in glass houses? Eh?
The difference, Jimh, is that I don't go ballistic if someone offers advice
or comments on my posts.
The laptop was for my niece's graduation. That was stated simply. The truck
went to the nephew.
Got it?
