Haven't had a cold in at least 20 years. I've heard, and passed around
the "fact" that there's about 40 common cold viruses, so at about age 40
you stop getting colds.
Went to see the grandkids Saturday, not worrying about my son's warning
that they had colds. I should be immune Just got up after 16 hours in
bed. Worse cold I can remember. Throat still hurts like hell, and still
all stuffed up. I need to rethink this.

Never heard that theory, but according to the following link, there are over 105 virus types
that cause cold symptoms. If your theory is correct, you still have a couple of years to go. ;-)

Thanks. It does say:
"Children may have six to ten colds a year (and up to 12 colds a year
for school children)."
I probably got the 40 years of age confused with number of common
virii.
20 years without a cold has be believing the age part.
Now I'm wondering if what I have now is a cold I never had before,
or that my immunity to an old cold is now gone.
Hope it's the former. I'd hate to start re-doing all those colds.
