Even if RE is falling now, sooner or later it always goes up.
In the meantime you pay taxes on it, and maybe maintain it.
I drove back up north through Alabama last year, so dorve on
10 through part of the panhandle.
Looked like Weyerhauser owned miles and miles of forest
through one part.
Man, 10 was a nicer drive than through GA on 75, but it got
a bit slow and tedious going through AL on the state road.
This year we got caught for a couple hours stop-and-go on
75 south of Atlanta because the jokers closed 2 of the 3 lanes
to resurface blacktop. Middle of Saturday.
Torture, worst tie-up I've ever been in.
We might revisit Alabama next time down.
