Under the terms of the NAFTA agreement, there is no duty collected on
a cross border sale of any boat *manufactured in the US or Canada*.
So if you buy a boat that was originally built in either country
you're OK as far as duty goes. If you buy a boat built in Asia or
Europe you will pay an import duty crossing from US to Canada, or vice
versa.

Once in Canada, you will be liable for the same GST or Provincial
taxes you would have had to pay if you bought the boat a person or
business in Canada.
