Default Garmin Chartplotters AIS Support

I have a GpsMap 276C and as the 276C does not have Ais support, I have
recently bough a GpsMap 420, but I think the AIS support on the new
line of Garmin chartplotters is ridiculous basic.

For example, the AIS support on Raymarine C series, Navman Ais ready
line, Standard Horizon and Northstar Chartplotters is about 10 times
more sophisticated than the new 2007 Garmin series.

Even the units with the very good old Garmin software like the 3205,
does not have any way to set a simple AIS safety zone with a basic
alarm.

And more intriguing, the new 2007 line of Garmin ChartPlotters have
only 20 routes compared to the smaller handhelds and portables and
the 32xx series which have 50 routes. In general, the 2007 line
software is a shame.

So I ask he who is the responsible people for this change on the
design of Marine line of Garmin Plotters?
