I do not know from props, what is "taller"?

Steeper, more water is pulled over it at the same RPM, making a
light boat like yours go faster at the same RPM.

The blades are at a higher angle without cavitating making the
prop go further in the water on each revolution....

Ask the guys at the outboard shop what they'd recommend when you
take the boat in to show them. Speed goes up...fuel consumption
may even go down, not a bad thing at all.

Thanks. Took it back out tonight with the little one. My kid swam
whilst I fished. Got a nice bass and a pretty good trout, but it was a
slottie so I had to throw it back. Slot is 12-16" on Crystal Lake.
Seemed to run a bunch slower tonight with the 90 extra pounds, dunno,
might have been my imagination. Had an electrical problem tonight,
fish finder came on for a second and then off every time I tried to
start it up. October and the water is still over 70 degrees, crazy,
I'm lovin' it...
