What is a fluke as it relates to a shark, and what the heck do you do
with it? I thought a fluck referenced flatfish.

Summer Flounder, actually. Now, this is a doormat.

I have had some great shark steaks, but don't know if only certain
sharks are tasty.- Hide quoted text -

The one I lost a few weeks back was only short of that by 3-4 inches
maybe... I have never fished for them before and did not expect that
slow pull was anything more than bottom junk or a big crab till I saw
it next to the boat! It was holding a chunk of bunker (bluefish bait)
in its mouth but did not have the hook. As soon as he saw me, he let
go and dissappeared. I am guessing he was somewhere between say 26-28
inches long.

Forgot to set the hook again I see. :)
