Doesn't matter. Bush has secured his place in history as the dumbest and
worst president in this nation's history.

No, no, no.

That would be Jimmy Carter who is universally regarded, even by his
own party, as the Worst President Ever.

How utterly laughable. Partisan illusion. You expose yourself.

During Carter's presidency the United States was beset by stagflation,
suffered massive fuel shortages, and struggled through several major
crises including the invasion of the American Embassy in Tehran and
the subsequent holding of embassy personnel as hostages by Islamic
Radicals.

He introduced a staggered increase in the payroll tax in a failed
attempt to bolster the Social Security. In foreign affairs, Carter
pursued the Camp David Accords (failed), the Panama Canal Treaties (as
in giving away a strategic component of national security) and the
second round of Strategic Arms Limitation Talks (SALT) (unilateral
disarming).

The final year of his term was dominated by the Iran hostage crisis,
during which the United States struggled to rescue diplomats and
American citizens held hostage in Tehran.

By 1980, Carter was so unpopular that he was challenged byTed Kennedy
for the Democratic Party nomination in 1980. Carter eventually
received the nomination but lost the election, in a landslide, to
Republican Ronald Reagan.

Only three postwar presidents have gone lower than the current
President Bush - Jimmy Carter (lowest) , Nixon and Harry Truman. And
only one has had a higher disapproval rating, Nixon. Carter's
concurrent (as in during his Presidency) negative rating ratio was 5:1
- the lowest of ANY modern President.

Partisian my ass.

I'm sure your ass is just as partisan as the rest of you.

Unpopularity isn't necessarily the measurement of a president's success
or failure.

Carter was saddled with circumstances, some of which were beyond his
control, as is the case with all presidents. He was dealt a
particularly bad hand.

His successor dismantled oversight on banking and caused a giant debacle
featuring a good many of his cronies, Iran contra, created massive
deficits through tax cuts and trickle down economics... etc., etc.

You probably think he was a great man. He was well in the hand of Lew
Wasserman from before he was elected Governor of California. Another
puppet as the mercy of his handlers, just like the stooge we've got now.

You think Harry Truman was a bad president because of his approval
rating?

Bush makes them all look like pikers. Giuliani would make Bush look
mild. We'd be reliving the days when Stalin had Trotsky killed with an
ice pick.

Your party has gone off the cliff. Do me a favor, talk to your family
about it, if they'll consent to humor you with a conversation.
