The comparison is obvious. In both cases, you have somebody with foul
intent finding amusement in the distress of an unwilling victim. One
is physical distress, the other isn't, but the basic action is the
same.

Thanks for the observation that I need some "help", but if getting
such help would result in me finding a mean-spirited, off-topic,
personal attack post "funny", I'll just sit over here in the
"unhelped" or "beyond help" section. The goofy video is adolescent, at
best; and it says *much* more about the mental and emotional maturity
of the attacker than the victim, (as these sorts of things always do).

Question: Would you find the video just as funny if the head of some
person important to your religion, an American soldier in Iraq, or
your favorite Republican presidential contender was substituted for
Doug's? How about a family member, would that be funny? Isn't there a
chance that your personal opinion of Doug is what allows you to find
this funny?
If so, then it's the specfic criticism of an individual that you are
enjoying, not the childish video.

I don't know Doug and don't have a personal opinion of him. (His
specfic action of crossposted trolling isn't all that great, but I
don't know him well enough in general to hold an opinion). Sans a
negative opinion of the victim of the nonsense in question, it's hard
to understand why any mature adult would find it amusing.
