I have a "300" or something .... I've had it for at least 2 years. It's the
one with the SD card.
I bought Mrs.E the "700" model about a year and a half ago. It has a hard
drive instead of the SD.
The Garmins are fine also. I just like the simplicity of the Tom-Tom.
The One comes sans card - the maps are embedded on 1 gig of memory
internal to the device.
I'll tell you one thing - I'm very impressed with the Quick Fix
algorithm. Update it once a week and the capture time is reduced from
a minute to 10/20 seconds depending on time of day.
Did you get the external antenna for yours? I bought one for mine and
that's definetly a plus. I don't think I've ever had less than 90/95%
signal strength on the signals (even under cover) on all the sats in
the constellation visible to me. That's something else that just
amazes me compared to my other GPS units.
