north of St. uis. Some nice antiqu shops etc there...

We're in Alton now, just north of the big suspension bridge. We have a
few days of visiting friends/family in the area, hopefully do some
touristy stuff too. I have been to the Arch before but there's other
good stuff here.

Go to LaClede's Landing...that's cool..and theirs a big old pre-Civil
War plantation right on the river that has tours and garden party teas
in the garden..it's right by Jefferson Barracks.if you have firend with
cars, go to University City to Mama Talayna's and have some of the best
Chicago style pizza in the world...and there's the Jewel Box downtown
(arboretum) and of course, Marlin Perkin's personal zoo, the St Louis
Zoo, funded all those years by Mutual of Omaha...they have a great
primate exibit..or did...my very bestest friend lives in the St Louis
area...
