Default Strange transom holes...

If you look at the transom just above the sharpest point of the vee
bottom, you'll see what looks like a pair of round chrome or stainless
drains.

They're surely below the waterline, so I'm wondering what they drain.
Not the hull under the deck, because if you look closely, you'll see the
usual bronze drain plug at the vee.


On my boat those are for the live bait well and bilge. The drain plug
stays in the bilge hole on the starboard side, we keep the plug inside
the live bait well when not in use.

I remove these plugs when I get it out of the h20 to drain whatever has
accumulated.

Is that a model of boat similar to yours? Are they below or above the
waterline? The two drains on the boat whose photo I posted look as if
they are below the waterline. But maybe they are not.

They seem kinda high for a bilge drain...
