I came up with this (52 GPH)

Yeah, for three of them.
1.29 MPG out of 1000 cu in at 33 MPH is pretty good. Not my kinda
boat, but still an interesting string of numbers....
I suppose, though burning $75 in gasoline an hour to go fishing seems
kind of stupid, no matter how much money you have in your jeans.
Actually, if you have a boat like that, you're going to burn a lot more.
No one puts 1000 hp on a fast boat to go slow. They're going to be
running at 60 gallons an hour, I'd bet. $200 an hour in gas, and for
what? To further enrich our good buddies in the Middle East?
I banged around on the boat for about five hours Wednesday, covered
quite a distance at reasonable speeds, cruised in and out of a couple of
harbors, trolled for Spanish macks and blues for a few minutes, and
burned about $20 worth of gas.
I'm not playing holier than thou here, but to buy and run a boat that
you'll be burning 60 gallons an hour of fuel on seems...absurd.
