You call that genius?
Genius of the time was Frank Zappa.
"Suzie Creamcheese" comes to mind. :)
Favorite was both Jefferson Airplane and Grateful Dead. I worked about 2
miles from the Haight-Ashbury in SF during the Summer of Love. Maintaining
mainframe Computers while going to school at CCSF and SF State. Did not
indulge in drugs as I get sick from most prescription painkillers. So body
rejects them. Was very interesting. Not a real good life for some. We had
to keep the drapes closed in the computer room (there were fishbowls in
those day for advertizing) as the Speed Freaks would try to come in to watch
the blinking lights. And Speed Freaks are scary people. But the Dead and
the Airplane would have free concerts out in the panhandle area of Golden
Gate Park. So got to see some good rock performances. As well as
Winterland being about 4 blocks from the office. Being in the Reserves
during part of that time, had to keep my hair somewhat short.
