Me too. The upper gulf has so many great places to go and
so many
unpopulated barrier islands, but shallow draft is a basic
requirement.
My last boat drew 4'10" and that was far too much.

There are tons of nice anchorage's off the Chessy, but, they
get a little crowded in the summer. I like to head 'up
creek', away from the weekend warriors.
