Previously, I stated that BW online was a good company to deal with
and my previous experiences with them supported that notion.

They have, however, apparently outsourced to a
Indian/Pakistani/Whatever boiler room and the good service I
experienced previously has gone the way of the Edsel.

My recent experiences with BW online follows similar earlier
experiences with non-English speakers that have a scripted approach to
customer service (Vonage). Since they never quite understand what you
are saying, the script shall be followed and no amount of factual
evidence shall get in the way of the script.

Searching the web turns up ample evidence that I am just one of many
people noting that their customer service has become quite poor.

Therefore, I rescind any previous statements that recommended Boaters
World online. Personally, I will no longer trade with them and can not
in good conscience recommend them to others. Caveat Emptor.
