Default Pakboat Folding Canoe

I have the opportunity to get a Pakboat 150T at a pretty good price. This
boat would fit my need for something that I can transport with my RV. I have
had a traditional Royalex canoe in the past. My question is - how
comfortable is this boat to paddle solo? I typically paddled from a kneeling
position, but the crossbars seem like they are going to make that very
uncomfortable, even with some pads.

Thanks

Martin,

my Pakboat is the regular 150, and my solution was to use a rib-to-rib
pad, 3 cm in thickness. Underneath I glued a 1.7 mm plywood (not the
marine type but the aviation type) which curves nicely across the
bottom and between inwales.
I recommend urethane glue which stays flexible (Sikaflex or the like).
My pad is made of semi-hard polyurethane which adds some buoyancy and
doubles as a good insulation from the cold water.

Timo
