Default Had a blast in Ft. Lauderdale this past week.

Without going into great detail of why I was there, with the exception
of watching my daughter play vollyball on the USA team, I probably
wouldn't ahve gone, but got to see some massively huge water craft
there. Outside our motell room there was the omni present scenery of
an aircraft carrier and some cargo ships and tankers. What I really
wanted to do was while I was there was to take a sea fishing cruise
and see if I could land a sailfish or some other sal****er beast.
Around where I live if you catch a 14 lb catfish it's a monster. of
course the people on the 48 ft. Hatteras boats use bigger stuff than
that for bait. I was even willing to pay out the $550.00 for a 4 hr
fishing tour, but the timing wouldn't have permitted it. My daughters
games were twice a day with 4 hr intervals, plus the games were "3 out
of 5" and usually took up a couple hrs per game. I liked watching the
games but concerning a good fishing schedule, it was my bad luck for
the days spent there.

But one of my parts suppliers is in Miami and my favorite sales guy,
Chris is in the area, I had never met him but have talked with him
weekly for the past 10 years. I was able to get in touch with him and
meet up with he and his family, so my wife and I went out to supper
with them. I got great lobster. but the cracking tool the place
provided really sucked, so I believe if I ever eat lobster like that
again, I'll bring my own pair of Channel-Locks.

Anyhow, besides the great time with good company, I'm planning on
going back there this winter, and probably to the Keys with Chis, his
dad, and a couple other guys an myself and hopefully we will hit the
blue water and see if we can land something big!
