letzt nacht...

We're leaving the mainland, and the big "Spirit" class ferry does
it's pirouette to point west, thrusters churning the sea...

I like looking at the foam. Idiot who threatened me is at the
trucker's table, along with many other regulars...

The big chick and the tattooed guy are hogging the only cribbage
board, because they have a thing going on with the game...

Traffic was heavy, Peterbilt dude had caught the 4:PM 'over' and was
back in time for the eight, but it was full (We had waved earlier on
the rickety old steel girder Patullo bridge, that rises up into the
sky and makes the tugboats in the Fraser look like toys far below)
and I saw him at the Chinese food booth while awaiting the nine
(last ferry, /I/ have a reservation).

Now the big boat is finished it's turn and is pointed west. The
great diesels down below rev up and rumble throughout the entire
craft, rattling a few dishes for a moment as we all sit in the
cafeteria. Tourists are everywhere, like dazed monkeys milling about
with saucers for eyes...

Suddenly, from across starboard; the whole ship is painted a deep
red from a great wave of perfect sunlight reflecting off the sea.

Old Sol is coming down to his rest for the night. The great father
touches the calm sea of mother Gaia and the whole world turns red.
His great cherub face glows so softly you can look at it without
pain or danger, as the beams of light are filtered through the
longest traverse of atmosphere possible, the sunset angle falling
backwards into twilight..

The tourists are drawn to the starboard railings...
Couples are romancing, even the older ones are folding hands together.

Great Father finds his way down into the bosom of our mother, the
last crisp sparkle of the raging fires winking out as the huge red
dome sinks into nothingness...

The sky tenaciously holds on to the light. The filtered red,
atmospheric layered horizon glows with that majikal light only full
spectrum solar coherency can impart.

I go upstairs to the upper deck to see this without having to look
through the gigantic quartz slab windows, and the railing is still
crowded even though the wind is cool...

Pulling my baseball cap down tight, I depend on my long thick braid
passing through the adjustment loop to prevent it from flying off
into the ocean. I look at the ripples marring the otherwise
perfectly calm sea, and let my gaze rise up the the burning edge of
the sky.

The power of love between two Gods suddenly reminds me of the
miracle we call life, and I blurt out loud to no one in particular,

"Now I remember why I came to this planet!"

There must've been twenty total strangers rising as of one voice to
answer my words with a wonderful variety of agreements.

Where I live.. I can see this happen at rise, and at set... in the same
day.. and I can agree with you.

triple folded.. for your protection

You see sunrise over the water?

Thought you needed to be a little further south for that...

There are not a lot of places in North Am where you can see both
sunrise and sunset over ocean. The Keys are one of them. So are
certain places on Van Isle.

Yup.. if i drive to the bay.. i see the sunrise over water... then.. i
drive
to the Gulf side of the pinisela.. and look out over the Gulf.. and can
see
it set.

PHREAKIN WAAAAY TOOO K000L!

these places have special majick! Can you camp there? If you are
especially lucky there'll be a park there....

we have a beach that you can drive on.. just park the car.. and sit there
drinking beer all night with a campfire if you wanted to. Then, come
morning.. the sun will creep up over the mother earth.. until the reflection
of the sun meeting the water will make it look as if you are looking at the
Holy Grail.

Dude.

It is possible to "Speak to the Gods" in such places.

The veil of reality becomes thin in these and certain other places.
Those eatherical entities which shape our world tend to haunt places
like these because they need to communicate with us as much as
possible to help, and to guide the world.

And humans are so lost these days from these concepts, that the Gods
despair of achieving parlay with /anyone/!!

When's the last time you tripped?
Have you /ever/ tripped spiritually? Like, without getting drunk or
partying or otherwise deliberately keeping your wonder and higher
thoughts ground into the dirt? Have you ever spent an entire acid
trip focused on the sky or spiritual things?

It won't take a lot of effort, believe me; they are desperate to
talk to us these days.

Try it in that place. On a summer's night, when it isn't too too
many hours before sunrise, watch the sunset, imbibe your
psychedelic, await the sunrise, watching the sky and/or doing
whatever spiritual things mean anything to you.

I swear to you, when the dawn comes (has to be a clear sky), the
Gods will speak with you. If you have another person there, you can
make a wish. Anything. The Great Dragon : Sky Raven : Sun God :
Quetzalcoatl : maybe even Jesus if you swing that way, will grant
your wish, whatever it may be IF YOU ARE PURE IN HEART.

Do us all a favor, and wish for world peace.

This formulae will work on mountain tops as well.
