15 miles over the hill is one of the busier harbors on the west coast.
Does not get frozen in winter, like yours. Grew up 10 blocks from SF
Bay. The damn fog coming in most afternoons all summer, makes me live on
the inland side of the hills, where I can have a useable swimming pool.


Only saw our harbour blocked with pack ice once in my lifetime..... over
20 years ago!


Last time San Francisco bay was ice blocked was at least 10,000 years ago,
during the last ice age. May not have been blocked then.
