Default bad trim guage

Clams, The only thing I've been able to find is the wires that lead to the
trim tabs.

At the fulcrum where the lower unit actually trims up and down. Look for a
"thingie" with a wire or two coming out of it.

Where is the sending unit located at?

Only 3 places possible.

Sending Unit (variable resistor)
Guage Itself
Wiring in between them

Boat is 2003 Seasport Sportsman ~ Volvo KAD32 with dual prop. Went to
start
up to run fresh water through and noticed the drive tilt indicator is

not
working correctly. The drive tilts fine up and down however the
electronic
guage shows the drive tilted all the way up and will not change. Any
help
on where to look?
