The steel, 4914-ton, seven-masted Thomas W. Lawson, built by the Fore River
Ship & Engine Co. at Bath, Maine in 1902.
She was later converted to a bulk oil carrier and was wrecked on the Scilly
Isles on the 13 December 1907. Of her nineteen crew, only three were
rescued.
