Am I the only person here who hates this latest trend of people posting
a bunch of links and saying almost nothing?

What's with that?

I am plenty capable of doing a Google search all on my own. Why do I
need posts here that are just Google search results lauded as something
special and worthy of clicking over and over again? It's an insult to my
intelligence . . .

This is a discussion group. Why is it that people use it for everything
BUT discussion?

Wait, I know the answer to that one. Because it takes intelligence to
discuss. And intelligence is the one thing here beside sailing that is
severely lacking. It takes knowing where you stand on a topic and few
people here know squat. A bunch of wishy-washy politically correct types
whose idea of discussion is to whine and cry, name call and to post
links that give somebody else's opinion that happens to mirror the
poster's.

Too stupid to write their own posts. Too lazy to consider the ins and
outs of a topic. Too ignorant to write a coherent paragraph. It's a sad
commentary how Usenet is being used. Or rather, abused.
