Replacing lower unit lube in 1992 Force 90 HP outboard
It does. Remove the prop and check for fishing line on the shaft. That's a
common problem. Change the lube and check it frequently by opening the
bottom plug and letting a few drops out. How long has it been since it was
last changed? If it was changed 1 or 2 years ago then you probably need new
seals. If you don't know when it was last changed then I'd watch it for a
while.

Does a milky color to the old lube mean that I have water in it? Wouldn't
the water separate from the lube?
I replaced it with Sierra Premium Gear Lubricant. Is that o.k.?
Please email me if you can help me.
